Equestrian Center - New Riding Arena, Barn, and Program Multi-Use Building - Newbury Park, CA
GKA Architects was hired by Ride-On in Newbury Park, a therapuetic horsemanship non-profit, which leases a 13 acre property adjacent to the 101 freeway from the Conejo Recreation and Park District. Improvements will include a new 12,000 sf covered riding arena, new 9,000 sf barn with 19 covered horse stalls, and new 5,000 sf two-story program building, which will include a community room, therapy rooms, offices, a caretaker apartment, as well as a hay storage and conveyance wing. Pedestrian, horse, and vehicular paths through the site are also designed. Project is currently in the authorities review phase.
